Where we started
It all started as a dream back in 2020. A dream about creating the perfect t-shirt, ribbed tank tops, white shirt… a basic wardrobe with a cool touch. Coming from a big interest and fascination in the clothing industry, learning about how it all works. Months flew by but the dream didn’t fade. So in 2024 we just decided to give it a go and see where it lands…
For us, it has been important to do everything by ourselves from scratch. From finding a manufacturer, to the right fabric, creating the graphics. Learning about shipping and payment solutions. Building the website. All is done in-house by Mia and Filippa.
Why maggi? Who is maggi?
maggi is the girl everyone wants to be. Cool, confident and classy. All at the same time. She always dresses up and looks put together. She always wears those perfect basic tops. Everyone wonders where she gets them. She can now tell them.
Founders
We are a mother – daughter company.
Mia (mother) with a background as a lawyer and former CEO of a big company. Today working with consulting others on legal matters, company formation and structures, and finance. As you can guess she is in charge of the ”important” stuff. But also, a BIG interest in fashion and clothing. Not just the shopping part, but mostly finding the right fit, the right quality, the right garment, the right colour. She is nerdy like that…
Filippa (daughter) finished school a couple of years ago and is in the beginning of her working career, currently as a financial assistant. As a daughter of two entrepreneurs, growing up in different family businesses – she is now eager to try it herself. She is the creative spirit with that young, ambitious drive. With all the energy and countless hours on the screens researching for all you could think of when starting a clothing brand.
Our vision
The vision with maggi the label is to create a clothing brand with all the perfect basic essentials you’ll need in your wardrobe. We started with the t-shirt, because everyone needs a really good white t-shirt. And are already working on the coming drops and then the creativeness and dreams will see where we go.
Sustainability
We believe small steps matter. That’s why we only use organic materials and reduce plastic wherever we can. Our The Original T-shirt is made from 100% GOTS-certified cotton - ensuring responsible farming, low-impact production, and fair working conditions.
We can’t do everything, but we do what we can. And that makes a difference.
GOTS certification is a globally recognized standard that verifies organic textiles are produced with a high level of environmental and social responsibility. It covers aspects like organic fiber farming, processing, manufacturing, and labeling, ensuring the entire supply chain adheres to strict standards.
